Watch as Detroit Lions rookie running back Mikel Leshoure takes a look at his new ride in downtown Chicago. Mikel was seeking an upgrade as an NFL pro and he's sure getting it in this video.

BIRMINGHAM -- Near the end of Thursday's player-organized workout at Detroit Country Day High School, Detroit Lions quarterback Shaun Hill was running a two-minute skeleton drill (no defenders) with the offense. Off in the corner alone were quarterback Matthew Stafford and rookie running back Mikel Leshoure, going through handoffs and running plays.

From DraftSharks (love this site!)… Rookie DT Nick Fairley will reportedly miss 3-4 weeks after undergoing surgery Wednesday on a stress fracture in his left foot. The upside is that timetable wouldn’t cost him any regular-season games. It certainly should keep DT Corey Williams in the starting lineup, though.

Running back Mikel Leshoure tore his left Achilles tendon on Monday, ending his season before it began.There's no more tests that need to be done. He'll have surgery very soon," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said. "He'll be back, but he won't be back this year.

Had it done by one of the best in the country, Dr. Anderson in Charlotte. Everything went well. On my way now back to Detroit looking forward to seeing my teammates and beginning my rehab.
